The monthly "Estrada & Studio" (Stage & Studio) magazine is a kind of Polish "Keyboard". There, Artur Lason (founder of a label FEMME) edits the "Moogazyn" column that is dedicated to electronic music, musicians and events.
Every month, "E&S" makes a lottery for readers. It could be a kind of additional, simple promotion for every musician and label too. If any musician or label is so kind to supply FEMME with at least 3 copies of a selected album - released recently - to be used as prizes for readers, we can make a quiz that would concern that musician or label.
CD-ROMs are included to every issue of "Estrada & Studio". Every time - in an audio part - they contain samples of new equipment and instruments' sounds and a few pieces of music (including electronic tracks) and sometimes a short video in AVI format. More than 15000 copies of a piece of music and/or video by every musician can be released to promote him in Poland this way. All he got to do is to send his music - on CD, DAT or mini disc - and/or a short video in AVI format and the agreement to the FEMME address. An agreement for making a copy of any track (or a part of it at least) and/or video by AVT Korporacja (i/e the publisher of "E&S") for free can be sent by fax or e-mail. We release CDs for nothing but promotion of musicians. We don't make money this way so we don't pay for it - as well as we don't take money for promotion we make.
What do you think of it? Please, let us know if you like this kind of Polish promotion. We think it would be very good if any track and/or a short video by any musicians is on a CD sampler included to the magazine that contains for example a story of an artist and/or a review of any album.
